Inbox

One address, five readers, four working days

There is no press office here and no separate corrections line. Everything lands in the same inbox and one of the five of us answers it by hand. Corrections take priority over everything else, including questions from publishers.

If you would rather use ordinary email, write to [email protected]. The form below does the same job and tells you immediately if something is missing.

Send a message

Write to the desk

A first name is plenty. We use it only in our reply.
Needed so we can answer. Never added to the dispatch list from here.
Helps us judge whether a problem you describe is likely to be machine-specific.
For a correction, please name the entry and quote the sentence if you can. Twenty-five characters minimum.

What happens next

How your message is handled

Messages are read in the order they arrive, with corrections pulled to the front. If your message points out a factual error we will fix the entry, add a dated line to the log below, and reply to tell you what changed. If we disagree with a correction we will say why rather than quietly leaving it.

  1. Read. One of the five of us opens it. There is no automated triage and no ticket number.
  2. Checked. For a factual claim we go back to the game, not to our notes, which occasionally means reinstalling something.
  3. Answered. Usually within four working days. Longer if it needs a third pass, and we will tell you that it does.
  4. Logged. Any change to a published entry appears in the correction log with a date.

We do not publish reader messages, quote them on the site, or pass them to anyone outside the desk.

Correction log

Everything we have had to fix

Kept in public because a correction log that only the writer can see is not a correction log. Entries are listed newest first, and the original wording stays in our records so we can show what was changed if anyone asks.

Corrections made to published Joremalix entries
Date Entry What we changed
18 July Cave system, exploration We wrote that the hidden-passage cue was audio-only. A reader showed that a visual indicator exists but is tied to a setting disabled by default. Rewritten, with the setting named.
2 July Sixty tracks, rhythm Track count corrected from fifty-eight to sixty. Our first pass predated a free update that added two charts.
9 June Seasons, smallholding Second-pass timing was given as thirty-six hours; the note file said forty. Arithmetic error on our part, corrected.
21 May Set pieces, corridor shooter Added the minority position from the desk split, which had been summarised in one line rather than printed in the writer’s own words as our method requires.
4 April Mystery, detective We described subtitles as having no speaker-name option. They do. Corrected the same day it was flagged.
16 February Yardstick page Accessibility checklist expanded from four items to six after two readers pointed out that motion reduction and colour reliance were missing.

Where we are

The desk itself

We share the second floor of a converted works building on Colegate, in the north of the city. It is not a public office and there is no reception for visitors, but post reaches us reliably.
